This classic twin-core cable is very carefully designed; the conductors are twisted in opposite directions with the aim of tailoring the cable’s inductivity to match the other cable parameters, bearing in mind that inductivity levels are inevitably high due to the twin-core design. Speaker Twin 2 sounds very pleasant and devoid of hiss, and offers very forceful bass combined with clear, highly detailed mids and highs. The price:performance ratio is outstandingly good. Special nozzles are used in the manufacturing process to space the two conductors very close together, whilst enclosing them firmly in high-quality PUR. To avoid any tendency to mechanical oscillation, the conductors are twisted together extremely firmly, with the result that they appear to be thinner than they actually are. The two conductors consist of seven wires each consisting of 18 strands. Three of these wires are of copper/silver and the remaining four are of copper alone. The outer sheath takes the form of an extremely durable, high-density PVC jacket.
